Newark Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

The Newark Memorial Day Parade is an annual event that is held the third Sunday in May. To start the day, a ceremony honoring our nation’s veterans is held on the University of Delaware’s Campus Green at Memorial Hall. Following the ceremony, veteran groups, active military, and similar groups join in the parade down Main Street with a brief pause at the Academy Building Lawn monument. There is no rain date for this event.

The ceremony is on the UD Green, and the parade is on Main St.
