Old Lewes Independence Day

Join Historic Lewes for Old Lewes Independence Day, an old-fashioned July Fourth celebration on the Historic Lewes Town Campus.

Visitors can enjoy a Punch & Judy Puppet Show, musket firing demonstrations by reenactors representing Delaware’s Revolutionary War defenders, hand-cranked ice cream demonstrations, tavern music from Forbes Road Frolic, colonial games, family-friendly crafts, and history-inspired drinks and refreshments from the Sussex Tavern and Lewistown Coffee-House.

Admission is free. Be sure to catch the City of Lewes’ other festivities throughout the day on Second Street, including kids’ games, an art festival, a boat parade, and more.
